Connecting Nalimov Tablebases to Chess Assistant 8.0

Chess Assistant 8.0 allows working online with the Nalimov Endgame Tablebases (6-piece) via the Internet. To access the Tablebases, please perform the following operations:

  1. Start Chess Assistant 8.0.
  2. Click on the Internet Chess Assistant Club button in the main toolbar. If you are connected to the Internet, the Chess Assistant Club client application starts.
  3. Register on our server (you are to do it only during your first session there) and enter your password. Then retype the password to confirm it.
  4. Click the Database control button on the client application’s Object bar (located at the left border of the application’s window):

  5. Select the NEW (Create new game) button  on the toolbar in the upper area of the window so that a chessboard window with a new game is loaded.
  6. Click the POSITION button  on the toolbar above the chessboard so that the Position operations dialog box opens.
  7. Right-click the chessboard in this dialog, select CLEAR item in the local menu (clears the board) and set-up position of a 6-piece endgame.
  8. Load the position you've just set. Open the ENGINES button’s drop-down menu and select.

either the Get evaluations from TB item or Get variations from TB item.
